How David negotiated better lease agreements during COVID for a fashion business in New Jersey
I own three high-end men’s clothing stores in New Jersey. Two of them are in Hoboken and one is in Red Bank. My brand is called Oran Apparel.

When the retail business closed because of COVID, my leases were expiring. I had to renegotiate with three landlords better terms of leases.

David went over all the contracts. Originally when I first started my business I had to do a personal guarantee on the whole terms. David made sure this time I did only a one-year guarantee. He made the lease terms less harsh on me personally. The leases were 5 years and now I had only one year personal guarantee.
David added a clause to the lease, that if I decided to close the shop, I can give a three months notice and leave without any problems with the landlord.
David’s way of negotiation is not too aggressive. He is looking out for his client, but he is being reasonable in order to get the deal done and not have it fall apart. David never makes it impossible for both parties to agree. He is honest and straight-forward with the client. He can say things like: “We can try to do this, Oran, but it is possible to be too aggressive”. I am so happy I have David, he is the best.
